Our story
From a city clinic to a full hospital
The hospital began as Mahalakshmi Clinic on LLR Road, Shivamogga, a pediatric clinic set up by Dr. Gopala Krishna Shanbhag B V. As more families came to the clinic, so did children who needed to be admitted, monitored overnight or given intensive care.
To meet that need, Dr. Shanbhag founded Mahalakshmi Multispeciality Hospital. For more than five years it has given families in Shivamogga and the Malnad region complete inpatient and specialist care in their own city.
